The Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education – Economics Institute (CERGE-EI) located in Prague, Czech Republic, invites students to apply for the PhD in Economics, MA in Applied Economics and the newly opened MA in Economic Research programs.
 
Please find enclosed our graduate programs leaflets and posters. We would very much appreciate if you could distribute them to your students, so they could learn more about the programs. We believe that CERGE-EI represents an attractive and valuable educational option for your students, especially those who consider studying abroad. We offer a range of tuition waivers and scholarships.

The PhD in Economics is a US-style program offering rigorous graduate education in Economics at a prestigious international institution. Our students aim to pursue academic careers in respected university departments around the world or to enter high-level positions in international organizations, central banks, government ministries, or in private sector organizations. Students receive full tuition waivers and stipends to cover living expenses. We also offer a First-Year Excellence Fellowship for the 1-3 best candidates applying to the program.
 
MA in Economic Research program is an integral part of the PhD in Economics track. It consists of two years of coursework that equips students with the systematic knowledge of economic theory and empirical research techniques and aims to prepare students for further postgraduate education and independent research. Students have the opportunity to simultaneously enrol into the US-type MA/PhD track and enjoy the benefits offered by the PhD program.  Successful graduates can automatically continue in independent research within the PhD in Economics program.
 
The MA in Applied Economics is a 1-year tuition-based US program in English with a focus on data science. During one intensive year, students obtain a solid background in methods for analysis and interpretation of data in different economic fields which they immediately apply in the real-world cases from business and the public sphere. Hard skills training is accompanied by a tailored personal development program that includes mentoring, coaching and career services.
